Microsoft Unveils Redesigned Icons for Office 365

Recently, Microsoft launched a newly redesigned icon for its office 365 productivity suite. After many years, Microsoft has made some changes in the Office icons. In Windows 10, the redesigned icons are part of a massive design revamp of the Office platform that is centred on the implementation of the company’s Fluent Design.

Moreover, the new icons will begin reaching out to the users over the upcoming months.

Microsoft Office App Icons Have Been Redesigned:

  1. The designs of the new Office Icon are meant to give you a simple and modern look that creates a distance across the devices and platforms.
  2. Microsoft Office is compatible with macOS, Android, Windows, and iOS. The changes give us the idea of how Office has evolved with time to include more collaborative suite that makes you work together in real-time from mostly any of the device.
  3. It has infused our devices with powerful Al: with which you can get insights from data very quickly; it makes your resume by using LinkedIn insights or write a paper by using your voice.
  4. The letter of each app gets deemphasized because the icons take on a simpler look but still retain the familiarity users do come to expect (OneDrive is just a cloud). The ones you probably forgot about of all office apps are being tweaked like Access, Vizio, and Publisher—Microsoft does continue to distribute them, but there are no plans for any upcoming features.

Remember that the new icons are just the start. To other parts of the Office suite, Microsoft is making changes. For instance, the company is simplifying the Ribbon as much as possible and bringing in its Fluent Design from Windows 10 to the apps. Also, you can take the example of the mobile version of outlook which shared mailbox support and new gestures for accounts and folders.

However, the new icons will start reaching out to mobiles and web apps first and will also be followed by other platforms.
